As the Diaspora University Medical Hospital Plan progressed; it became apparent that if a good hospital was to be created it line with providing the Kenya constitution right 43 (1) (a) a system of having the right equipment and sufficient supplies will be needed.
The Medical Equipment and Supplies Company is setup to achieve the Kenya Constitution right 43. (1) Every person has the right— (a) to the highest attainable standard of health, which includes the right to health care services, including reproductive health care.

The Company if founded by Diaspora University Trust and Diaspora Healthcare Professionals establishing the Diaspora University Medical Hospital Plan.
