KENYA CONSTITUTION RIGHTS ADVANCEMENT PARTNERSHIP

The schools and Diaspora University will partner to advance Kenya's Constitutional rights.

Constitutional Rights

42. Every person has the right to a clean and healthy environment

43. (1) Every person has the right—

  • (a) to the highest attainable standard of health, which includes the right to health care services, including reproductive health care;
  • (c) to be free from hunger, and to have adequate food of acceptable quality;
  • (d) to clean and safe water in adequate quantities;
  • (f) to education.

53. (1) Every child has the right—

  • (b) to free and compulsory basic education;
  • (c) to basic nutrition, shelter, and health care;

(2) A child's best interests are of paramount importance in every matter concerning the child.

SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) PARTNERSHIP

The partnership shall be established as follows:

Diaspora University, Department of Education, and STEM Education Center shall establish a STEM program for 10 to 17-year-olds that Schools will implement.

The STEM program will incorporate:

  • Project-based learning
  • Inquiry-based learning
  • Group learning
  • Hands-on learning
  • Student collaboration in solving problems
  • Efficient resource utilization learning

The STEM program will include teacher training at Diaspora University.

Students who are taught through the STEM program will have an opportunity to proceed to Diaspora University for career education.
