Dr Okumu has a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Science from Queen Mary's University of London, a Master of Science in eHealth and Telemedicine Management from Rome Business School, and a Diploma of Legal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians. He is currently studying Law and Business at the University of Law and Forensic and Legal Medicine at Technological University.
Dr Okumu has over 20 years post-graduation clinical, research and academic work experience as a medical doctor in Kenya and the UK. He is currently a consultant physician in internal and geriatric medicine and has special interests in Telemedicine, Forensic and Legal Medicine. He is a dynamic leader, trusted advisor, and careful planner adept at building solid partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advance clinical, operational and financial goals.
Dr Okumu joined KUP as a Property Developer in 2022 and has since become part of the University Founder and Medical Hospital Founder.
