Dr. Githiora holds a doctorate in English from Michigan State University in English. He received his Masters degrees in Mass Communications and Telecommunications from Howard University and Masters degrees in Mass Communications and Telecommunications Michigan State University. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.


Dr. Githiora has over ten years’ experience in academic related activities including teaching and research. His research in language use and attitudes and communication studies has resulted in several publications.

Kenya University Project (KUP)

Dr. Githiora joined KUP in 2015 as a Property developer and University Founder.

Diaspora University

Dr. Githiora as founder of Diaspora University is working on:

  • Write and teach course syllabuses in English, Literature and Communication studies.
  • Establishment of the Humanities and Arts School.
  • Establish English Language Writing Center.
  • Building strong collaborations with private business and public entities.
