Gerald is a native of Kenya where he served as National Superintendent of the Free Methodist Church and Secretary of the Equatorial Africa Area Fellowship. Between 2001 and 2006. Gerald served in Tanzania as the Principal of the Tanzania Free Methodist Bible College and oversaw the church planting efforts of the denomination in the whole country.

Gerald holds a Bachelor's degree in Theology from Kenya Highlands Evangelical University, an M.A from Africa Nazarene University and a Master of Management degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. Gerald successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation in Organization Development at Benedictine University-Lisle, Illinois-USA.

He has also taken graduate courses in Public Administration at Grand Valley State University and graduate courses in Counseling from Western Michigan University.

His passion for research is in the areas of strategic planning, organization design, leadership development, change management, performance management, coaching, diversity, and Global OD.
