Work and Experience

Susan has worked in nursing in different roles at Cherokee County Jail Juvenile Detention Center, Iowa. Pediatric Care at Sanford Medical Center, South Dakota. Pregnancy and New Birth at Spencer Hospital, Iowa. For the past 10 years, Susan has worked as Clinical Registered Nurse in Late Life Geriatric Nursing in Minnesota.

Diaspora University Town (DUT)

Susan joined DUT in 2019 as a DUT MFB Founder, Town Developer, Hospital and University Founder. Susan engages in Strategic talks with DUT Town Founders

Susan is currently working on the following in collaboration with others:

  • Participates in meetings to discuss development strategies for DUT.
  • Creation of the university curriculum, Implementation and Instructor
  • Furthering the healthcare vision at DUT to deliver a state of the art medical Hospital
  • Oversees the founding of a Geriatric Center that will provide continuum patient centered care to DUT Elderly, Palliative, Long-term Care and Rehabilitative Care to Kenya’s Elderly.
